The historic society founded in 1934, managing Breuil-Cervinia lift-systems, is now for sale. The news is propagated on August, 31st 2007 by Luciano Caveri, president of Regione Autonoma Valle d'Aosta, that shares 12,5% of Cervino SpA.
Caveri said that "Cervino SpA destiny is strongly in the hands of Cravetto family, in the future I think there should be private groups interested to buy the society. Maybe also Regione Valle d'Aosta - with a well-done Master plan - should maintain or improve its quote", adding that the region is not going to exert right of pre-emption because "market must do its job".
Important words from Giorgio Pession, Valtournenche syndic: "Whoever will be, in the future, Breuil Cervinia lift systems administrator, should understand that it must invest about € 25/30 million over the next 3-4 years"
On a new society bord of directors, syndic Pession added that with a well-concept industrial plan, municipal administration is ready to "intervene by acquiring a part of the share capital: we will do our job as soon as we will see clearly the situation".
